One of Ireland’s best-loved chefs, Kevin Dundon can usually be found busy at work in the Dunbrody House kitchens and cookery school . You will also often find him gracing the TV screens and chatting on Irish radio covering all things to do with food. Reflected in all of Kevin’s cookbooks, this passion for freshness mixed with both simplicity and flair is the signature of Kevin’s cooking.
Kevin Dundon is the Chef/Proprietor of Dunbrody Country House Hotel & Restaurant, located in Ireland’s sunny South East. Dunbrody was established in 1997 by Kevin and his wife Catherine. It is now considered to be one of Ireland’s Premier Hotels & Restaurant. Kevin’s runs a cookery school at the hotel as well which is already recognised as one of the most respected in the country.
Over the past few years Kevin has steadily built his media profile and has appeared on numerous TV channels including ESPN Cable, CBC (Live) Canada, UK tv Great Food Live, BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen, RTE (Live) the Today Show, as both Chef and panellist. Kevin’s programme Christmas made Easy with Kevin Dundon was one of the highest polling cookery shows on RTE in 2012.
He is also a regular on Irish radio. More recently he appeared on the NBC Today show live on St. Patricks Day while in New York representing the Face of IrishFood. His nine part prime time Cookery Show –Modern Irish Food with Kevin Dundon aired on both RTE1 Ireland and PBS in the US and was nominated for three American Taste TV awards, the highest awards for the Lifestyle Entertainment Industry in the US broadcast industry.
Kevin is also Chef/Patron of the Irish Gastro Pub “Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant” based in Disneyland, Orlando, Florida.
Kevin has published 5 books, “Full on Irish”, “Great Family Food” , “Recipes that Work” and more recently “Modern Irish Food”. His new book “Back to Basics with Kevin Dundon” was recently launched to coincide with his TV series of the same name to be aired this year.
Kevin is a great supporter of food festivals and conferences, whose message is to spread the word of good quality food and food production. Kevin and Catherine have three Children; Emily, Sophie and Tom.
